"The silver hook bracelet is from my first vacation with my now husband in St. John—still my favorite and most-cherished trip.
The onyx beads bracelet is from my favorite Buddhist temple in Taipei where I grew up.
It's a piece of home for me and gives me a feeling of peace and protection.
It was taken and prayed for by all the monks in the temple, across all the gods' alters...So I'm covered."

"Always mix materials, colors, glam vs. rock, hard vs. soft, ect...More is more.
Don't be afraid. Don't match.
Pile it on! Most importantly, wear pieces that have meaning to you so that each has a story and reminds you of a moment in time.

"The Miansai cuff is my absolute favorite accessory in the world—I wear it every day.
It's originally a men's piece and is basically a fancy handcuff, fastening with a screwpost.
I consider my tattoo an accessory: It's a little owl perched on a branch.
I got it six years ago and it bears no special significance.
The owl is actually a good friend's elementary school mascot.

"I like a good chaotic armful.
I think the key however is to make sure they are pretty snug on your wrist, so they aren't all overlapping and piling up on top of one another."

I went back the next day of hiring him to make me hundreds of safety bracelets, but I couldn't find him and I looked for hours.
The bracelet cost about 10 cents, so he would have been set for a while.
I went to Mumbai with Fern Mallis for Lakme Fashion Week and have never taken this bracelet off.
I wash it with Kiehl's soap only."

"I like to divide my bracelets and bangles up by gene! Today, I've got metals and edgier pieces on my left hand, and my colorful 'I'm stil a five-year-old-at-heart' bracelets on my right.
Also, if you favor armfuls of chunky bangles but are at your computer keyboard all day, do your coworkers a favor and remove them before any heavy typing.

"I bought maybe 10 of those evil eye bracelets in Mykonos when I was there for my 21st birthday.
They fall off a lot! This is my very last one, and it's been on my wrist for over two years.
I think it still has some work to do.
We were shooting something for R29, and Lisa Salzer (the jeweler behind Lulu Frost), came in carrying a sack full of those Bracedlets.
They are the new, way-cooler Silly Bandz.
The black double wrap Miansai was a gift from Michael Saiger, the designer.
It was way too big, so he told me to cut it and then burn the end.
I cut it way too short, so what you can't see was the slight redness as my circulation is slowing."

"I think seven inches up is as high as you wanna go.
I like to color coordinate, but I appreciate a good mix'n'match on others.
Also, make sure you know which bracelets you can never take off and those that might start to smell.
I'd suggest not wearing a Nantucket braided rope bracelet for more than three weeks."
